"EMPRESS OF FRANCE " ARRIVES

The R,M.S-Empress of France arrived in port yesterday morning from Southampton vid Singapore, This luxurious Canadian Pacifie liner has been hitherto operated on the Atlantio Service, but bus come out East to take the place of the Empress of Canada, which will leave Hong Kong on November esth for Plymouth eiù Suez. It is understood that the latter vessel will start on another World Tour. from England. The Empress of France, is not a new vessel to the port, having made several visits to Hong Kong in the capacity of a World Tourist vessel.
New German Motor-ship. The motor vessel Duitburg (Ger- man made her first visit to this port on Saturday and left yester; day morning. She is a new vessel owned by the Hamburg Amerika Line, local Agents, Measra Jebson
Company. This vessel arrived from Hamburg and Miri with general cargo for Hong Kong and and parts beyond. Her nett. ton- nage is 7,374 tons, and Captain H Eckschorn is in command, with a crew of 58,

Chinese Concara,. Two river-steamers were gaily dressed yesterday morning on the water-front. They were the 8.3. On Ler and the s.s. Fuet On. The former has been chartered to a Chinese concern by the name of the Lee Tong S.S. Company. The new charterers will continue to run the vessel to Kongmoon.
The s.5. Fuet On, as stated in a previous report, is changing her run from the Canton Line to the Kenginoon run. The vessel sailed yesterday evening for Kongmoon at 7 p.m. on her first trip.
