On Tuesday evening the s.s. Tai Lee and as. Sanning were ready to sail for Kongmoon when Har.. bour Office officials boarded the vessels and cancelled their clear ance permits because both steamers were considered overloaded. This ineant a readjustment of sailing schedules, and the a.. Sun Nam Hoi which arrived on Tuesday night had to sail last night in place of the s.s. Seaning How- «KARMALA

"Sanning" Hold Up.

It is alleged that the .s. Tai Lee had a cargo of 100 tons of cement between her decks which lowered her down several inches over her marks, while the s.. Sanning was about two inches above her marks. In consequence of the hold up of the two vessels, there was no service tq Kongmoon on Tuesday. Many pasangels who had travelled from distant ports, elected to stay on board the vessels over the 24 hours.

We are given to understand that H..S, odlark was bought by Mr. Solomon Abdullah Cazzumbhos: a Hong Kong man and not, stated, by the Mow Hing S.S. Co.. The vessel has left Shanghai and is dus here within the next few days.
