CRAIGENGOWER'S SPEY
CUP SUCCESS.
END OF LEAGUE MATCHES.
On Saturday the East Point Recreation Club were eliminated from the Spey Cup competition by Craigengower Cricket Club in a very close game on the Kowloon C. C. ground. The senior League champions, who were holders of the Cup in 1956 and lost to Taikoo in the final last year, have now to meet the Civil Service in the final.
At the stars and again later in the game East Point held the lead and gase promise of beating the champions. Several times Craigon- Rower were left with more than half the number of their woods lying on the jack, but skip Shaw did won- ders with his driving and draws. Craigengower's anxieties were re Hieved when they were able retaliate with a four, and later they annexed a five which made their position safe. It was not, as" ex- pected, a runaway victory, and East Point in losing by seven shots fully extended their opponents. Teams and scores were : —
