Preaching at St. John's Cathedral at the morning service the Very Reverend the Dean of Hong Kong (the Rev. A, Swann)' gave a clear and able exposition of the attitude of the Church towards service in general and medicine in particular. Frankly admitting the errors and bigotrics of the past, the preacher claimed that the present attitude of the Church was one of entire sympathy with modern research, and indeed, sciener had revealed a mych truer conception of God and of Christ than had been held in the past.
