Mr. R. H. B. Hancock, President.{ of the Hong Kong Cricket Club, tock the chair at the Club's annual geperut meeting which was held at the pavilion yesterday evening. satisfactory number of "members being present.

The President reviewed the posi. tion of the Club which is very favourable both from the financial and playing points of view! A wel rome antinancement was that Mr. A. II. Gillingham is to captain, the 2nd XI. and it is hoped that the complaints arising from the reserve team being depleted by the 1st X. at the last moment will not recur

this season.

WINNERS OF THE CLUB COMPETITIONS,

The Crigentover Cricket Club are holding their annual general meeting at the Club House on Friday, October 18th, at 3.30 p.m.

The report, drawn up by Mr. D. Rumjahn, the acting Hon. Secre- tary, states:-

The Club entered a team in the 1st Division of the Hong Kong Cricket League and secured third

place amongst the nine teams that competed.

We have a good fixture list for both the 1st and snd X., and have entered two teams for the Lengur this year. one in each division, and I hope both will do well..

The support of all members to the smooth running of the sides will be greatly appreciated and I hope those who wish to piny regularly will see that their names are put down early and not at the last minute:

Interport Matches. Hong Kong received visits from Shanghai and Malaya. Hong Kong won both matches, defenting Shanghai by 2 wickets and Malaya by an innings and 95 runs.

A Hong Kong team visited Shang- hai later in the season and lost by

120 runs.
