CRAIGENGOWER ANNEX SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
JUNIOR PROMOTION PROSPECTS IN THE BALANCE.
SATURDAY'S LEAGUE SURPRISES.
Owing to the unexpected defeat of the Police at home by the Kowloon Bowling Green Club on Saturday and the leaders main- taining their sequence of victories, the Craigengower Cricket Club again annexed the sentar division championship after a lapse of three years. The runners-up position lies between the Police and the Kowloon Docks with the latter at a slight disadvantage aa Civil Service their uncompleted match is with the champions. seniors gained their first victory after ten defosts, their victims being Taikod, who lost on all rinks.
In the junior division encounter between promotion candidates, the Clab de Recreio defeated the Civil Service as expected, and the race for promotion is now keener than eyer si Civil Service are leading by only one point with six matches still remaining to be played by each of these Clubs. The Civil Service have lost their pice in the senior-division and are looking to regain it by promotion.
Craigepgower had no difficulty in defeating the Kogloog Cricket Club as their two strongest rinks maintained ther reputation while their third rink held their opponents well and lost by only two shots. Gibson's rink was out-bowled by Omar's men, the latter securing six shots on one head and again a seven with measure" for eighth shot. Basa's rink which went down to Chap man's rink by two shots also scored a six when they were most needed
The Folice on their own ground lost to the Kovigon Bowling Green by two shots, but they made a wonderful recovery after the tea interval. At this stage the visitors were leading by over 2 shots, Macfarlane alone being up on J. Clark bý '14 khỏts (17-3).
