A LOCAL RESIDENT'S PAIN- FUL EXPERIENCE"

a

A well-known local resident had a rather "painful experience" week ago when he decided to re-fill the radiator of his Austin “T."

He had returned to the Peak one evening, and had given his engine a hard run to the top. Not wishing to be bothered with the job of! refilling the radiator the next day he decided to tackle the job whilst he felt "energetic." However, he took his time and after garaging the car and secing to one or two minor matters he began to unscrew the radiator cover. He admitted that be knew it was hot, but did expect that before he had reached the final turn-and-a hall a volume of hot water resembling. A "Yellowstone National Park Geyser" would shoot out of the "baby" radiator with the force of a fire pump. His right arm hap- pened to be in the way and was badly scalded.

THE NEW GARAGE IN KOWLOON.

MESSRS. ALEX ROSS & COMPANY'S WELCOME ENTERPRISE.

A BOON TO MOTORISTS AND AN ARCHITECTURAL IMPROVEMENT.

Mention has already been made in our Motoring page of the new garage that is being built at Kowloon and the following further details will be of interest to many motorists in the Colony, This fully equipped Garage and Service Station is situated right at the entrance to Kowloon and Messrs. Alex Ross & Co. are to be congratulated on securing the old Taxicab Garage site for this purpoee.

The Garage, the construction of which is proceeding rapidly, will harmonise with the Railway buildings in the background and. will greatly improve the appearance of the approach to the Star Ferry. The convenience of its situation whether for storage, gasoline, repairs, equipment or tyres is obvious. HOW THE GARAGE IS ·
