Twenty-four vessels discharged 30,052 tons of cargo for this port, and ten British vessels contributed 18,050 tons, with five returns of over 3,000 tons.

The best cargo returns were shown by the as. Taiyo Karu with 8,000 tons of coal from Wakamatan and Sakito, and the 1. Baron Thuthern (British) from Calcutta with 4,830 tons of coal.

Through freight showed a fine figure of 38,681 tona, carried by fourteen vessels, and seven British ships carried 13,032 tons, The French vessel Si-Kiang from Vladivostock and Shanghai was the best carrier with B.137 tons, while the ss. Puriri (British)-a new arrival-carried 8,050 tons of from Bourabaya and sugar Samarang.

Large Tree Trunk Seen At Sen.

The as. Puriri (British) from Sourabaya and Samarang reporta that a large tree trunk was seen floating, in a position, Lat. 3 deg. 25 mins. S. and Long.. 108 deg. 4 mins. E.

Death From Heart Failure. The master of the s.3. Mau Sang (British) which arrived here from Sandakan and Singapore reports that a Chinese deck passenger died from heart failure during the voyage."..

Asiatic Deck Passengers. Sixteen vessels brought 2,083 Asiatic deck passengers to the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday.

Marine Court Of Inquiry.

In a notification at the Harbour Office" it is stated that the Marine Court of Inquiry into the sinking of the as Kochow will be resumed at 10 a.m. on July 3rd (to-day).
