YESTERDAY'S MATCH.

The Hong Kong Cricket Club and Craigeagower Cricket Club broke the monotony by playing off their tie in the "A" Division yesterday. The match was played on the lat Sirter's courts at Happy Valley and a good deal of interest centred on it. The Hong Kong Cricket Club, who have occupied the wooden H.K.C.C. BEAT CRAIGENGOWER spoon position for the last two seasons, ehowed up extremely well twe weeks ago, heating the M.B.K. easily, while the Craigrogower who can boast of several cracks at one time entertained hopes finishing well up in the League Table. THE LACE.
There was bright sunshine at ever, the Hong Kong Cricket Club
Epsom and a very large crowd, it cluding the King and Queen and the Duke and Duchess of York, Nine- teen horses went to the starting post. The tapes were broken three times, but the actual start was fairly good, except that Crusader ..was left. Flamingo settled down in the lead, followed by Ranjit Singh, Porthole, Royal Minstrel, Felstead and Sunny Trace,
After going half a mile Flamingo still led with Sunny Trace second in front of Hanjit Singh and Fel stead. Rounding Tattenham Corner the order was Flamingo, Sunny Trace, Felstend, "Fernkloof, Black Watch, Gang Warily, Royal Mins- trel.
About a quarter of a mile from home Felstend drew in front of Flamingo and, making the remain der of the running, won fairly easily by one and a half lengths.
Flamingo was six lengths ahead of Black Watch, with Fernkloof fourth, Gang Warily fifth, Came!- ford sixth, and Royal Crusader
last.
The time was emin. 34.2-5sece., equalling Call Boy's record of 1927.

Commenting on the Shanghai players the Doctor said that Dr. Duck was a very good Singles player, but not so good at doubles. (Dr. Duck beat E C. Fincher.) Rasmussen had a very severe fore hand, but a weak backband. Ho had also a good service. Redmond played a very good game with him, winning one set and nearly winning a second. Carnavarro impressed as an excellent doubles player, but he had no chance to play singles. The local captain acknowledged Shang hai's superiority, but was of the opinion that his team would have shown up better if they had more time to get acclimatised.
