The general cargo returns both local and for ports beyond were very low for the period ending at a.m. Saturday, but yesterday's were good. Local importa were over 91,000 while the through freights totalled over 9,000 tons.

Of the eleven arrivals Automedon, August 17th. and twenty-seven departures, four Elpener, August 2nd. of the arrivals were British, while Sarpedon, August 23rd. eleven British ships left.

Machaon, September 19th. Local imports totalled 9,823 tons. Patraslui, September 20th. and three British ships contributed 1,234 tona. The as Nam Sang (British) was best carrier with 1,999 tons, and the only vessel to carry over 1,000 tons.

Through freights from five vessels were better. Of the total of 15,280 tous two British hips carried 8,102 tons. The Andes Maru carried 3,640 tons from Yokohama and Dairer, and the as. Jeypore (British) from Kobe and Shanghai carried 4,060 tons.

"Yesterday's Returns, Twenty-five arrivals and twenty- three departures were recorded for the period ending at 9 am yester day. Beth local imports and through freights showed a heavy increase on the previous day.

General merchandise discharged from twenty ships amounted to 21,001 tons, and six British vessels discharged 6,161 · tois. The as Harunasan daru was best carrier with 4,920 tons of com from Mike, while the ss. Solriken (Norwegian) had 2010 tors of rice from Saigoz.

Through freights carried twelve vessels totalled 27,614 toas. Six British ships carried 9,019 tons, and the sa. Hector (British) & Blue Funnel Liner carried 7,200 tons of general cargo from Liverpool and Singapore. This vessel was best carrier, followed by the sa. Remo (Italian) with 6,800 tons Yokohama and Shanghai.
