Every change of line or idea in dress designing mean a correspond. ing change in the patterns of the materials of which the dresses are made. Perhaps the new materials are inspiration for the new cut, or possibly vice, vera, but in these days when the ensemble and the nice adjustment of every part of the costume is of such great import ance, a wrong choice of pattern may be the raination of your dress."

Large designs always appear simultaneously with long and pie turesque styles, and small neat ones with fashions that depend on close- ness of cut and slender lines. It does not follow, however, that the dress designer never uses a small pattern with a picture frock or a large one with a svelte model, although that is the general trend.

For Spots Of Blackheads. Yardlar's charmingly scented Lavender " „soap is very attrac- tive and their "Oatmeal" soap is excellent for blackheads or a pimply skin. I have not tried Woodbury's facial soap bat have been told it is good and helps to clear up skin blemishes. Another soap which was very much recommended to me was Albion Milk and Sulphur.'
