Although the general cargo dis charged for Hong Kong did not equal the previous day's total, the returns “abowed the antisfactory | datilochus, June 28th, figure of 17,000 tons. Through freights, from eight vessels were very good and five foreign vessels averaged nearly 4,000 tons each.

There were sixteen arrivala and fifteen departures during the 24 hours ended at a. yesterday. These included five British arrivals. Local importa totalled 17,424 tons, and three British vessels discharged cargo which amounted to 4,564 tons The Gonsan" Meru discharged 4,256 tons of coal from Mike, while thes. Glenbeath (British) from Cardiff and Sandakan had 3,474 tons of coal.

Through freights were very good, and amounted to 33,484 tous, but three British vessels only contribut ed 3,938 tons. The mv. Nanting (Swedish) was best carrier with 2,710 tons from Gothenberg and Singapore, and the as. Oldekerk also carried 7,460 tons of general cargo from Kobe and Shanghai.
