The Association's 'Fine Record. Mr. Ip Kau who presided at the dinner addressing the gathering as follows:-

Gentlemen,-I deeply feel a sense of pride when I say that to-night's dinner is given in honour of our three football teams for their vic tories in the recent competitions, and also in honour of our Ping Pong Team for its success in expturing the championship of the Hong Kong Ping Pong open League.

I am exceedingly, happy to see among us so many guests here to night and I extend to them our very hearty welcome. Their pressace not only makes the gathering bigger, happier and more dignified, but also serves as an indication of closer friendship. I hope we can gather together, more frequently, for there- by we can acquire a better under- standing and co-operation, without which we only find more problems difficult to solve.

The Chinese Athletic Association' is still in its infancy, being only three years old, but notwithstand ing this, I think it has done quite a lot of work, as evidenced by those trophies before you. But we want to solicit your advice and support in order to help it to grow faster, and become even healthier and stronger.

We have just had a very success ful football season and I feel very proud to say that our First team won the Senior League Champion ahip, the Second the Junior Shield, and the Third the Junior B League Championship. For all these rucccsses I must tender our heartiest thanks to the members of the teams for their fins hard fights throughout the competitions, and so to Mr. H. K. Lee, the Manager

since then the Chinese have won all three divisions. Last year, they had a narrow shave with the Fortu- guese in the B" winning by ons solitary game in the final, Struggles of this nature add colour to an interesting competition like Tennis League.

Heart Restarted.

Very great interest was aroused in medical circles by the annduuct- ment that Baron Okura has come to life again.

Heart specialista: are chary of 'ex- preasing an opinion without faller details then are yet available. "There have been cases, declared

Harley-street specialist," in which the heart's action has been restarted by massage, but I think it is safe to say that when a phy- eician pronounces a man dead he in dead."

Another prominent specialist said he thought there were only about a dozen authenticated cases in which the heart had restarted as the re sult of massage. The most in-- teresting, perhaps, was that of the six-year-old Streatham boy, Albert Davice, who in 1916, after being *** dead" for 18 minutas, was restor
