There are some very lovely new furnishing fabrics on the market now. THE WAIST-LINE AGAIN.

Two new models which show that the waist- line is returning to favour.

Of course these materials are reither too hot for us to wear here now, but it is not hard to imagine an equally chic effect in thin silk or toile.

PоROOMULL'S sale was finished this week, but the remnants were not put out as early as war ex- pected. There are a particularly good selection of useful lengths at quite exceptional prices on view to-day. I also saw there some at- tractive designs in printed silk which would make up as well as dressing gowns for efther yourself or your husband, and two new silica called Diamond crepe and Queen. crêpe. They have a new range, too, of striped span crêpe.

In WHITEAWAY, LAIDLAW's. I found some very pretty cotton voile frocks well made in various styles from 80.50; coloured linen" frocks from $7,50 and some white linen jumper suita at $8.50 which I thought particularly attractive: Thess are made in two styles with and with- out sleeves of a mid weight, good quality, white linen embroidered with drawn thread work. The sleeveless jumper I liked very much. The effect was simple and cool and decidedly smart. They would, I think, be excellent for tennisA
