CANTON, May 11th. Central Bank of Chins notes have auctuated considerably during the past law days in reaction to the present state of affairs in China. Until last Wednesday they had been quoted at between 75 to 78 per cent. of their face value. But following the anti-Japanese demonstration and parade on Tuesday they sud- denly slumped to 69 of 70 per cent. According to the bankers in Sap Sam Hong, the "Wall Street" of Canton, the sudden fall was due to a popular appröhension of some far reaching outcome of the demon strption.
