The President Jefferson" Five Hours Late.

:

The s. President Jefferson which arrived on Monday night at about 3 p.m. was eagerly waited by many friends who took launches and motor-bolis "and endeavoured to board the vessel which was Bre bours overdue from Shanghai. Cable Breaks?

The buge vessel swung round but the Anchors were immediately let go and any possible danger averted. The cause of the vessel being overdue was an exceptionally low tide at Woosung bar.
