"And I'm here to tell that I've traveled quite a few thousand miles by water and I have yet to enjoy more genuine considera- tion for the passenger than one gets on the President Liners. The ship's officers do everything possible to make your voyage pleasant and the service the boys give you is a rare treat.”

CUP SEMI-FINALISTS IN LEAGUE MATCHES.

HUDDERSFIELD OUT OF FORM.

The semi-finalists in the F.A and Scottish Cup matches (to be played on Mardi 94th) had some useful practice last Saturday when A full programme of League matches was carried out. With tha exception of Millwall in Division III. Southern section, all leaders in both Leagues either drew or lost their matches

Huddersfield, Cap favourites, who beat Blackburn Rovers in mid-week lost their form and were forced to a goalless draw with Derby, Their opponents in the Cup semi-final, Sheffield United, accounted for Middlesborough easily. By a coincidence the Arsenal and Blackburn who are semi-finalists in the Cup" opposed, each other in the League and Arsenal won by the odd goal in Ave. Everton's star is waning since they lost the premier place in the League,

In the Second Division the Swansea team gave the Chelnew leaders strong oppostion and secured a goalless draw. Leeds United had the distimation of scoring the highest number of goalą of any team of the day, Notts County felting to them by mix goals to nothing.

Millwall in the South Division beat Watford comfortably while Bradford's tendency to add points in the Northern Section was checked by Halifax who took one of the two goals scored

In the Scottish League, Celtic won their match, and their rivals in the Cup, the Rangers, fell to the Hibernians,
