There are 362 millionaires, in Great Britain and. Northern Ireland. The latest Blue-book of the Inland Revenue Department gives this as the number of super taxpayers who have incomes of" £30,000 a year or more.

Out of the total of 562 there are 199 persons who have incomes of more than £100,000 a year. Their total income is £27,539,459, so that the average income of the group. is nearly £200,000.

The numbers of the very rich are no increasing. In the year 1923 indeed, there were 100 men with £103,000 a year, and their total is- come was 9,173,000.
