NORMAL CARGO RETURNS.
"JAPANESE VESSELS AGAIN
BEST CARRIERS.
With eighteen arrivals and nine- teen departures during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday general freights imported for Hong Kong were normal. Through freights also increased slightly on the previous day's total. General cargo for Hong Kong amounted to 19,995 tons and three British vessels contribut- ed 3,633 tons. The two best returns were from the s.a. Harumann Maru (Japanese) with 3,080 tons of gen eral merchandise from Tongicu and Tsingtao, and s.s. Prominent (Dutch) from Saigon with 2,190

Through freights amounted to 14,979 tons, of which two British steamers carried 3,084 tons The as langtie (French) carried the best return with 5,000 tons from Bangkok and Shanghai, and the Nain: Song (British) arriving from Calcutta, add Singapore carmed 2,764 toas.
