Miss Margaret (Peggy) Shotto: the actress, was fined £25 and coat at Clerkenwell Polies Court, when che was summoned for supplying false information to the Registrar of Marriages of the St. Pancras District for the purpose of obtain ing a marriage cante.

Miss Shotter is now Mrs. Miller She married, or December 1st, Captain Alastair Miller, heir of Sir William Frederie Miller. Bark, Miss Shotter, who throughout the case. was referred to as Mrs. Miller, was accompanied by her husband. Mr. Gwatkin represented the Director of Public Prosecutions, and Mr. Frampton defended.

Mr. Gwatkin told the magistrate (Mr. Dummett) that the alleged offence was committed in Novem- ber last. Miss Shotter, desiring to be married to Captain Miller, made a false declaration regarding her age. She stated that she was 21, whereas at the time she was 19. The marriage was solemniced un December 1st.
