The Kowloon Cricket Club, hold era of the Senior Division Lengue Shield, created a surprise on Satur day in the course of the regular League matches by beating the Royal Navy easily.

Thor Are creeping up the Table and by their last performance they bid fair, to hold their own against the Univer sity who ate now occupying the top position. Both teams have the distinction-of-being undefeated-so- far, but the University are more favourably placed as they have wön! all their matches to date, while Kowloon hare dropped two points. Indian with the by drawing Recreation Club "A." The ather Clubs competing have each lost a good percentage of points and it can safely he said that Kowloon and University will ultimately battle for premier League honours, unless something extraordinary happens.

In the Second Division develop. mente are also taking place as the result of the three matches decided on the week-end. The University and Recreio; the two leading teams, did not feature, but their respective 'positions are somewhat secure, as on the form shown they are the two strongest sides. The RA.O.C. who had hitherto run neck tw neck with the Club de Recreio for the runners-up position un. expectedly failed in their match against the Kowloon Cricket Club and have, therefore, weakened their position," while their victors (Kow. loon), who failed to make much of

impression in the opening of the: season, are now improving by leaps and bounds and at the present, they have earned the right to occupy the position next to the Club de Recreio and R.A.0.C. In another match

NOTES ON THE GAMES.

HEY.0. E.A.I. This game was played on the Hong Kong F.C. ground before a poor attendance. Bishop led the Clubj attack and worried the 'R.A.F. de- fence throughout. With a little luck he would have scored two goals in the first half for he had Avery beaten but the goalie seemed to have a charmed life, the ball striking him and rebounding to play. Vernon being the only danger to the Club defence.

Vernon opened the score with a fast cross shot giving Bodger no chance and soon after, Taylor scored with a wing shot. Chances were missed, and the trami crossed over with the score one all. -

The second half was keenly con tested and again ever keenness lost chances of scaring. The R.A.F. took the lead through Armitage, who took the ball from a rebound of the crossbar from a shot by Vernon, and beat Rodger with a well placed shot. Simpson made amends for missing a good change by beating Avery within the goal area. Both teams tried hard for the lead, but the final whiste sounded with the acore two goals all.

K.0.8.B.. South China. At Caroline Hill, the "K.O.S.B's

two opposing players in the opening minūtes caused the Chinese specta- tors to rush on the ground, but play was resumed and the field cleared. Roza Pereira opened the score for the Recreio and Wan Kiu Chui

levelled up for South China. The second half was keenly, contested and a penalty kick for fouling was | awarded South China, Tong Kwan. converting. The Recreio goalkeeper was ordered off the field. Another penalty converted by Tong Kwan gave South China the match, by three goals to, 1.

China Athletic r. University. The University folded & wenk side against the Athletic on the St. Joseph's ground and went down by four goals to one. At the interval, the Athletic were leading by two clear goals. Chan Woon Yin, Pang Chee On, Chan Chiu Hong and Choi Ping Fan scored for the Athletic, and Szeto for the University.
