THROUGH FREIGHTS.

Moderate vargows for Hong Kong were shown in yesterday's freight returns, and through freights were Eleven out of thirteen Very low. arrivals brought cargo for this port, and five carried through carge.

For Hong Kong there was a total of 18, 10 tans, of which two British Vessels (out of four) brought 2.953 tons, on vessel contributing 2,035 Lons of this Vessels under other dags brought for discharge bere 13,564 tons, and all but oce vessel registered a four-figure entry. A Finch vessel brought 1,500 tons of general, a Balch ship 1045 was of kerosene, two Norwegian se ers, over 2,000 tons of mice each. another Narveginn 1,000, tons of gral cargo, one Japanese stenaner 1.23 tons of general," and an- attur vessel under the same flag 23 song of coal, while a Chinese arpoved with 1,000 tons of

rice.

Through Freights totalled 5.203 tons, with three British vessels carrying 4,036 tous, and of this figure, une liritish ship, the Antinor had 1.28 tons on board. The maining 4287 tons were carted in two vessels under other flags," a German steamer having a fewer than 3847 tons of general freight on board.

With the Chinese New Year Holidays now over, a full resump tion of the river services is being made. The long Kong, Cantol: and Macao Steamboat Company, Ltd, have been the only Company running steamers to and from Canton during the holiday period, and then only day boats. Las highs the Zugikan went up. ursul will retura again this evening, The usual day and night_service will be maintained by the Tashan, Lungahan and Kinshan. The Pat- shan is still in dock. Despite the holiday, there has been a fair num. ber of passengers to and from Car- toy and there has been a daily. average of 700, pussengers,

The West Riger steamers, and other steamers employed on the Canton-Hong Kong run have laid up during the holiday, but they commenced resumption quring Wednesday and yesterday, and all serivers will be a full swing again by to-day.

Asiatic Dack Fassengers.
