ANOTHER JUNK PIRACY. THE

HAUL OF OVER $8.000.

Yet another junk piracy was res ported to the local police during the week-end.

It concerns a Chinese trading Junk which was pirated in Chinese waters on January 11th, at 6 p.m. The junk plies between Sheung Sha, in the Hoilung district and

Hong Kong.

While it was off Sam Chung Island, Fing Hoi district, a Hokla junk approached and after son fire the trading junk WAS crelied upon to stop. The order was complied with," and the pirate juak came alongside and four or five Kokios, armed with rities, came on board.

They mailed the junk for about two mils, and then they removed the cargo, consisting of 250 pigs, nine baskets of eggs, six baskets of ubicken, 7 skets of quails, and a large quantity of fish. They also stole vahimbles and clothing from the crew, and got away with a total haul of $8,778.

Mrs. Chanders, who launched the Greystule Castle, is the widow of the founder of the firia, and it gave them the greatest possible please to have her with them that day.
