The best way, generally speaking, to acquire proficiency in any game is to observe and imitate the beat shots of the great players. The ob- servation, however, must be care- ful; and the imitation painstaking. and both must go to the root of basic principles.
This last feature' is of more im-
portance than one would think.. I have observed that nearly every one who has had any luck at golf has had large feet and hands, the one to hold to the ground and the other the club.
