Marshal Chiang Kai Shek, now evidently once again firmly in the Kuomintang executive saddle, is busy arranging to bring about the long-looked-forward to Fourth Kuomintang Conference. The prospects for its realisation are reported by the vernacular Press.. as being now much more hopelui than they have been for a long time past. Even more strange is the statement that Mr. En Hon blin and other "conservative" members of the Party will probably participate, which step the withdrawal of Mr. Wang Ching Wei should facilitate.
The Southern forces, and particularly those of Marshal Feng Yu Hsiang appear to be in a better, position at present than they have been for some time past to render help to the Shansi forces. in their struggle with the Fengtienesc. Marshal Feng reports that position, to despatch 50.000 troops for this purpose. be is in a Should he be able to do so, a very different aspect would very probably soon be evident in the Chihli campaign.
