Nanking's Nationalist Government intend to continue their preparations against: Canton's "reactionaries" and have ordered several Kuomintang generals to proceed to Spatow with a view to attacking Canton.
The Red rising in Canton has created very considerable stir throughout the ranks of the Kuomintang, especially among. those identified with Nanking: Marshal Chiang Kai Shek, as their spokesman, says" that they intend to close the Soviet Con- sulates within their jurisdiction and break-off diplomatic relations with Russia.
A Communistic uprising which broke out at Huong An, is Wuhan, was quickly suppressed by local Government troops, who inflicted 1,500 casualties.
