The Customs and Past Office have not been touched, There has been no attempt to malest foreigners."

PRECAUTIONS BY HONG KONG POLICE.'

Every precaution is being taken by the Hong Kong Police to prevent any reflex of the Canton revolt in this Colony. The water- front is being closely patrolled and the mobile section of the police are ranging the whols island at in ervals.

All-passengers from Canton are being carefully searched and a number of arrests have been made including several alleged agitators. Great excitement still prevails in native quarters and crowds assemble on the Praja whenever a boat from Canton is expected.

Attempts are still being made to distribute Communist pamphlets containing the usual incitements and two arrests were made it Hollywood Raad. Among the refugees are supposed to be a number of looters hoping to run to earth here with their booty.

According to British officers aboard river steamers arriving from Canton firing is still going on spasmodically, but the Kwang- tung troops seem to be in full control of the City and the Reds have made off or are in hiding.

Summary vengeance is being enacted and of some 40" bobbed haired girls who were arresting crossing over into Hesam, and found to have revolvers on their persons, four were shot and the remainder taken to police headquarters.
