The following notice from the Shanghai Customs, under date of December 5th, has been posted in the local Harbour Office:-.
SHIPPING MOVEMENTS. The RM.S. Empress of Àsia left Vancouver for Hong Kong, vit Japan ports and Shanghai, on De cember 16th, and is due here on December 29th.
The B.I... Garmula will leave and for Shangbai, Moji, Kabe Osaka at 8 am, to-morrow (Wed-' nesday), December 14th.
The City of Lahore, which sailed from New York on October 22nd, left Singapore on December 8th, rủi Manila, for Hong Kong, and is due here, on the 17th inst.

BOAT CAPSIZES.

A party of Bluejackets from H.M.S. Herald had a . narrow tscape
Saturday afternoon when one of the ship's boats capsized and threw them into the water as they were pulling for share off Wanchai The boat was fortunately, not far from land at the time and the Decupants were able to swim ashore and retura for dry clothes to H.M.S. Herald by sampan. Divers have been sent down to locate the sunken boat and retrieve it.
