The local sporting fraternity was grently shocked on Saturday at the news of the death of Mrs. H. R. Rix, wife of one the Malayan cricketers, who passed away at the Victoria Hospital early on Satur day morning.

"The Flaming Forest" is an exceptionally good film and we feel for the latter part of the week a regret that it was not reserved in order to give it an extra day's abowing. But those of you who tale should make an endeavour to appreciate a well told and stirring
