To-morrow (Sunday) the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will hold its 44th Al Fresco Fête in the com- pound of the Catholic Cathedral at Caine Road, from 2.30 p.m. tu 11 p.m. Everything has been organized to the satisfaction of a large Com mittee representative of all sections of the Community.

The very satisfactory anm 810.000 was cleared by the "Fun of the Fair" fête at Lee Gardens on behalf of the Hong Kong branch of the Ministering Children's League.

a very attractive appearance.

There will be stalls to suit all pockets, prices ranging from ten cents to 3. Another attractive stall will be again the popular farin- yard, stocked with home-raised turkeys, sucking pigs, geese, etc.

The big feature of the fête will be, of course, the draw for the Erskine Four-Senter, which will take place at 10.30. Lieut. Mott and Messrs. M. D. G. Haare, H, Annmann, Leung Tung Cheung, L A. Barton, Fred. Xavier and H. Hendriksen, will act as scrutineers of this draw.

Another special feature of this | year will be a surprise cake with 300 slices, every, slice with a prize, and amongst the prizes there will be diamond rings, wedding rings, brooches, charms, gold and silver

[coins, etc.

In the evening the ground will be brilliantly illuminated. The Hong Kong Hotel Garage is very kindly providing a special moter- bus service from the Star Ferry pier to the Cathedral from 3 p.m. the fare being 20 cents each way.

By kind permiss'an of Lieut-Col Comyn. C.M.G., D..Odofficers, the full Military Band ofthe King's Own Scottish Bordérers will play both in the afternoon and in the evening, Mr. W. H. Earic, A.R.C.M., conducting.
