Yesterday's Retujna, During the 24 hours, ended at 9 A.. yesterday 15 vessels arrived and 12 discharged here. The amount of marchandise unloaded totalled 18,890 tons. Four British steamers necounted for 9,643 tons, of which 4,896 tons were fuel oil brought by the 8.s. Bithina, from. Sebbatik. The other heavy carrier was the Cora (Norwegian) from Chinwangtao. She brought 2,555 tons of conl.

Through freight amounted to 16,022 tons. These were carried by five ressels, of which one British | ship was responsible for 1,000 tons. The Japanese steamer Delagua Mary, from Singapore was the best carrier with 7,000 tone. The s. President Polk, from Shanghai, came second with 4,999 tons.

Mishap To Macao Boa!. The Macao boat Sui An was unable to make her scheduled trip to Macao yesterday morning owing to trouble with her propellers, She left the wharf with a full com- plement of passengers but just out- side West Point, her propeller re fused to work,

The tug'Henry Keaviek was sum- moned and the Sui An was towed back to her wharf at Wing Lok Street, where the passengers disem barked.

A Chinese who was walking down "MACEDONIA" | 11,120 |28ed June,

the gangway of H.M.S. Writern at the Kowloon Docks yesterday, miss- ed his footing and fell. He sustain ed severe injuries to his head and body and had to be taken to Hos pital.

Woman's Death.

A police patrol launch cruising in the Western Fairway, heard police whistle blown from the direction of Hill Road, West Point. Upon investigating & Chinese woman was found clinging to a pole in the water. She was rescued and taken to the Government Civil Hospital, but died later. It is not known how she came to be in the water.
