YESTERDAY'S FREIGHT

RETURNS.

FEWER ARRIVALS.

Comparatively few vessels arrived here during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday and consequently the freight returns were lower than

usual.

.

The Colony's imports amounted しい 4,208 tons, 2,240 tons being renght" by two British steamers.

The only four-figure return Was

Through freights amounted to 3,117 tons carried by four vessels. Two British ships brought 964 tons. The s.s Porthos (French), Ipom Marseilles and Saigon, was the heaviest contributor.

She carried 3,453 tons.
