A BCREEN VERSION OF A FAMOUS FARCE,
THE WEEK'S PROGRAMMES.
[BY OUR FILM CRITIC]
น
For the screen play Brewster's Millions an old and vary popular stage farce played in the days before the war by Gerald du Maurier, has been brought up to date and Hollywoodised. We cannot say that we think the new edition the equal of the old, but it still is amusing fare. Bébé Daniels plays Misa Brewster with a nerve and dash which makes her credible especially in the earlier scenes, but the mechanics of the story itself creak rather more than they should. Despite this it is a lively film with plenty of laughs. combining a large number of the usual screen stunts, a fancy dress
