MR. T. E PEARCE REVIEWS THE YEAR'S ACTIVITIES.

YESTERDAY'S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

An interesting review of the Hong Kong, Cricket Club's activities, with special reference to, its sound financial position. was given by the Chairman at the annual general meeting of members held last evening at the Club Pavilion, Ir. T. E Penave presided in the absence of the President (Mr. H. R. B. Hancock), who is on leave.

יי

There was a fair attendance of members, and the Chairman' was supported by the Committee, as under-Messrs. H. A. Nisbet, P. M. Hudson, F. Syme Thomson, J. H. Ramsay, A. C. I. Bowker, J. D. Humphreya, A. W. Hayward and R. M. Henderson. with the Hon. Secretary (Mr. L. S. Greenhill).

In view of the large expenditure involved in the additions and al terations now being undertaken, it is particularly pleasing to be able to place before you a record finan dial account, and I think the flourishing condition of our fin auces Tally justifies us in the big venture we decided upon last June.. You will observe the total Work- ing Expenses at 812,247:03 is with-

in 98.00 of last year's total. In these days when the tendency usually upwards, I think this feature of the accounts is most grutifying.

This job is now vacant and if there is any one who will volunteer, the Cricket Sub-Committee will be glad to hear from him.
