All the aboge players have repre- sented Shanghai in previous Inter port contests in Hong Kong..

at one time, the Club would have equalised but for a nice save by Brown, the Army custodian.

Within ten minutes of the start. movements by the K.0.8.B. on the left gave them two goals through Richardson and Stainton. Shortly afterwards Todd scored for the Club. The game was scrappy until the interval with the Army men having most of the game, but there was no further score.

Owing to the late start there was bardly any interval. The Club in the second half were easily the better side and put in some ex- tremely pretty work, the Army defence being pressed repeatedly.

In one of the Army rushes Me Claren made the position safe for his side by adding the third goal, With darkness setting in. Pritchard of the Club easily netted. · The game ended with the Club one goal to the bad, but pressing rigorous- ly.

The Army hall back line showed better understanding than their opponents, playing a spoiling game and supporting the forwards among whom McClaren was prominent. The teams were:-
