IMPOSING SEIZURE OF ARMS.

The police from Hongkew station made the biggest arms seizure in the Settlement, it is believed, when early on September 27th a constable became suspicious of the movements afa sampan on Bongkew Creek. The haul in alt mounted to 1 Mauser pistols, 3,000 rounds of ammunition fitting these weapons 900 rounds of 7.65 ammunition, and 250 cartridges of 32 calibre. A beatman was arrested and three hawkers, whom the police are charg ing with inportation of contraband without a licence.
