Twelve vessels discharged here Yesterday and the total amount up- loaded was 12,597 tons. Of these, 10,807 tons were accounted by six British steamers. 3,200 tons.
Through cargoes were carried by nine steamers and amounted to 13,191 tons. Three British vessels were responsible for 3,089 tons.
Departure from Singapore was scheduled for to-morrow, but the typhoon at Hong Kong caused de lay, and the Rawalpindi is accom plishing an exocytional run to make up lost time
On A Desert Island. When the Talada arrived at Singapore on August it, her com mandel reported that when they passed Tree Island they saw that a tongkang had been sunk and the crew of five were on the island and required assistance. As the B.I. steamer passed they were waving pieces of cloth as a signal that the wished to be taken off. A launch was sent from Singapore to take them off, on receipt of the report.

Unemployed Seaman,
Au unemployed geaman named John Macdonald was yesterday morning brought before Mr. R. E. Lindsell charged with being found in the Colony without, employment or visible means of support. He was sent to the House of Detention pending Government arrangements for his repatriation.
Asiatic Dock Passengers.
There were 2,201 Asiatic deck passengers entering. the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 8 am. yesterday. These were brought by six steamers.
Derelict Dangerous to Navigation.
A wireless message was received at the Harbour Office yesterday that a derelict junk was sighted off West Brother Island by the s.s. The derelict is dis Lungahan. masted and is considered a danger to navigation. The Harbour Au- thorities had ordered this fact to be broadcasted by radio for two days.
