The Government Gazette contains the draft of a Bill which it is proposed to introduce into the Legislative Council on September lat (next Thursday), this Bill being intituled an Ordinance to make provision for a loan of 85,000,000 for the carrying out of certain public works.

"The big public works to be financed by this public loan are:

The loan is to be secured on the general revenue of the Colons, and will give interest, at the rate of six per cent. per annum.
