The Government Gazette contains the draft of a Bill which it is proposed to introduce into the Legislative Council on September lat (next Thursday), this Bill being intituled an Ordinance to make provision for a loan of 85,000,000 for the carrying out of certain public works.

The loan is to be secured on the general revenue of the Colons, and will give interest, at the rate of six per cent. per annum. It will be redeemable at par on November 1ss, 1038, and the redemp- tion by purchase of bonds can be approved by HF. the Governor after October 1st, 1089. These bonds would be drawn by lot.
