Lord Cowdray died on May 1st, aged 70 years. His will is dated November 13th, 1919.

The will contains pecuniary legacies of £10,000 each, free of death duties, to a number of reis- tives, and "£100,000 in trust to Lord Cowdray's granddaughter Jona Pearson, who is 15 years of age.

It provides for gifts of £300 or £1,000, free, of duty, to nine of his senior household servants, with a provision that each of his other indoor servants of three years? ser- vice shall receive an amount, free of duty, equal to half the amount of annual wages at death for each year of service..
