Lesbos, July 16th. Mr. Cook, the Secretary of the Miners' Federation, who was chiefly responsible for all the troubles last year, and led the miners into a morass, has been doing his best to kill the Industrial Mining Unions. This is a new and powerful body which came into existence in Nottinghamshire under the guidance of Mr. Spencer, M.P., leader of the Notts miners, who refused to dance when Mr. Cook piped, and in consequence was denounced by the Miners' Federation, his membership as a trade unionist being cancelled.
