Having battled with one of the most severe typhoons experi enced on the China coast for a very long time, and during which two Chinese quartermasters were washed overboard and severe" injuries sustained by the Chief and Second Officer, the ss Tjikandi, of the Java-China-Japan Lija, came into the harbour yesterday morning looking very much the worst for her encounter.
