NORMAL THROUGH CARGOES,
LOCAL IMPORTS DOWN.
The returns for the 24 hours ended tm. yesterday shawed that freights entered for this port were lower than the previous day, while through cargoes remained
normal.
There were in all 8,470 tons of Freight imported, Of these, 3,004 tons were coal. Of general cargo, four British steamers contributed 3,877 tous, the best return being 1,620 tons discharged by the 8.8. New Mathilde, from Hoihow.

Breack of Quarantine Regulations.
Another ease of a vessel failing to fly the Quarantine flag and not going into the Quarantine An- chorage when arriving into the harbour from an infectious port was heard by Lieut.-Comdr. J. B. Newill, D.S.O., R.N., at the Marine Court yesterday.
The accused, Capt. Jorgen Bruhn, master of the as. Phranang, a Chinese vessel running between here and Haiphong, was su before the Court for having failed to comply with the Quarantine re gulations on July 8th when his vessel arrived here.
