The freight returns for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday showed a considerable decrense both local and through freights. 11 Cargo for other ports was carried by one vessel only out of the eight steamers entered."

The Home mail vid Negapatam Oletters and papers, dated London, May 12th) arrived yesterday by the 5.S. Tutma. The unit was a big one, there being over 600 bags on the steamer, of which some 400 were landed here. 97 bags were from the United Kingdom.
The outward mail for. Home vid Suez will be despatched this week- end by the P. & O. ss. Kashm'r, and closes to-morrow at 10.30 am.
