The Hokkien unlawful societies gave little reouble during the year, the Sin i Bin and the Sin Kongsi groups being quiescent. There Happy Valley, I were, however, minor disturbances due to the Beng Hua branches of these societies, states the annual re- port of the Secretary for Chines affairs, Singapore for 1926.
