The winners certainly deserved their prizes, and all competitors merited well-deserved commenda tion. for the going, was very heavy, these dificulties, however, the boys pluckily carried on with miles on their loss to the end, and the meet- ing ended" with the tempers of cficials, competitors and spectators alike unimpaired.

Owing to the sodden, slippery ground no outstanding times were recorded and it was impossible for competitors to give of their best..

At the conclusion, Brother Almar presented Mr. Ralphs with a beauti- ful little model in silver of a Chi- nese junk, from the pupils of St. Joseph's College

Mr. Ralphs replied that it would be, a souvenir hoe would much ap procinte, and one which would at days remind him of St. Joseph's College and Hong Kong when he left the Colony.

Brother Aimar alao returned thanks to all who had helped to make the sports a success, to the contributors to the prize fund, and to the donors of prizes.

The 4:0 yards flat race (senior) challenge cup was won outright by C. Figuereido, who also had the honour of winning the gold medal as Champion of the sports meeting.
