NORTHERN TROOPS DROP BOMBS.

The news of an extraordinary incident in Peking's Legation. Quarter is to haad. It appears that early yesterday morning' Marabal Chang Tao Lin's troops, having, it is reported, first obtained the necessary permission from the Diplomatie · Corpa, raided the Soviet Embassy, dragged out a Russian "fighting and kicking," and bound and carried him off in a motor-car. The report. atates that "no far" half a dozen Russians and' from 15 to 20 Chinese have been carried off to the Police Station, while the „Charge d'Affaires and other officials have been detained in their offices at the Embassy, which is now occupied by the Chinese military. Red" activity is doubtless the cause of the raid.

General Chiang Kai Shok has evidently had a very serioas encounter with the Kuomintang extremists in Shanghai, us the resuit of his suppression of the local. Provincial Administration, recently established by the Communists to control the "Shanghai Aren. Beth parties are appealing to the Central Executive Committee. Meanwhile, Chiang's military movements secr indicate that, if need be, he may even move against the extremists at Hankow.
