DIVISION II.

The Cricket Leagus innovation of winding up the current Season by Catcher between the respective Champions and the Rest, provedtion Club winning. successful and interesting and will, in all probability, become annuai ̈nfair."

Kowloon Cricket Club, as Cham pions in the First Division, met a very strong side drawn from the Reet of the Division and held their own against it. The result was. & draw.

Kowloon have done excep- tionally well throughout the season. and few can deny that on the form they have shown they thoroughly deserve their success.

The high standard of the season's cricket was well maintained yester day and the batsmen had the best of the argument all through. Three players from the Rest put up high scores, but Brace, of the League winners, outshone them with a neatly compiled 95, not out.

Bowling was sporadically good Goodwin captured 5 wickets for 41 runs and Capt. Morris took 3 for. 1 runs. For the Rest, Dobbie bowl. ed consistently well sending down 13 overs for 58 runs, He took two wickets...

The match in the Junior Division between the Indian Recreation Club, the winners, and the Rest, played on the Hong Kong Cricket Club ground, started in quite excit ing fashion, but ended in a com fortable win for the Champions.

Batting rat, the Indians lost wickets at an average of ten runs apiece until the serenth wicket whea A. K. Minu opening his shoulders, compiled 33 runs, being undefeated at the end of the innings His Bro- which realised 155 runs. ther scored 1 and A. S. Ismail made 28. rns.

The Rest who were dismissed for 97 runs found their opponents in good bowling form. Pte. Lake was the highest scorer with le, Suad took 5 wickets.

The Indians won the second divi- sion championship by consistent form throughout the season and yesterday, they showed the same consistency. Full of promising young. players, their side is perhaps the keenest in the League and they have defeated such strong oppon- ents as the Police, Kowloon Cricket Club, Recreio and the Royal Navy. Their success has caused no great surprise among followers, of the" game.

Besides the matches above, three other friendlies were played.

The scores follow:-

DIVISION I.

Kowloon 0.0. . The Rest. Played on the Kowloon Cricket Club ground, the result being a draw. Madar later coatributed 48 and the Rest declared as 178 runs for ◊ wickets.

Kowloon replied with 156 runs for 6 wickets and did their best to force a win, Brace's innings of 95, not, out, was the feature of the match.
