The returns for the 48 hours ended at 9 am yesterday showed that the imports of general mer. chandise into the Colony were below normal, while freights for ports beyond Hong Kong had consider ably increased.

Sunday's Returns.

There were altogether 9,375 tons of general cargo landed here during the 24 hours ended at 9 am on Sunday. Of these, 3,040 tons were discharged from British bottoms Through cargoes amounted to 2,631 tons, of which, 900 tons were carried in British steamers.
