After the depressing fog which has enshrouded the Peak of late, yesterday's sunshine was extremely cheering. It enhanced the beauty of the exhibits staged, and had a share in attracting a large number of visitors betweca 'the hours of 3 pm, and 7 p.m.
Single The long succession of fogs, cold winds and sunless days during the past month has gone a long way towards destroying earlier- work and this was reflected in a falling off in the number of exhibits. A suggestion is to be brought before members that they hold the next Show early in February.
During the afternoon, H.E. the Governor (Sir Cecil Clementi, K.C.M.G.) and Lady Clementi visited the exhibition, and at 5.30 her Ladyship distributed the prizes in the Volunteer Hall. A pleasing feature of the show was the presence of the band of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, who played selections throughout

As we anticipated yesterday, the display was 接 very fine one.
Flowers were in beautiful bloom and provided a blaze, of colour. The vegetables also were of high standard. It can, in fact be said that although quantity was below the average, this was made up for by quality.
Outstanding Festures. One of the features of the ex hibition
was the collection of vegetables shown by the Hong Kong Club. The celery, tomatoes, beetroot, and cabbages were ex ceptionally good, and the whole collection was of high merit. Other entrica also reached a commadable
standard.
