THE TROUBLES IN CHINA.
[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT]
LONDON, Feb. 19th. The third session of the present Parliament was opened this week by the King who went to West- minster in State. His Majesty was accompanied by the Queen, and a touch of novelty was given to the procession by the behaviour of the prople in the Mall, who broke their orderly ranks and walked along
side, cheering as they went. It was
a cold day, under grey February skies, but neither repetition nor weather, can still the ardour of London crowds for the pagotty
Royalty. They always seize the chance to cheer the King and Queen, and find the greatest. joy in seeing scarlet and gold, and the panoply of the Brigade of Guarda, to say nothing of the thrill that lies in the very sight of the gilded State coach.
